Instructions: Gently touch or recline your body into the Seismic Communication Instrument. Stay a while. Composed from the seismic activity of a volcano, this work employs bilateral stimulation of the two hemispheres of the brain through rapidly alternating tactile and aural stimuli on either side of the body, which produces a calming effect upon the nervous system. This technique is commonly used by trained practitioners in somatic trauma therapy such as EMDR, in order to reorient the plasticity of the nervous system towards new neural pathways.
